✝️I’ve actually noticed that shoving the Bible down one’s throat is not the way to help people nor create a need in their lives for the Lord. On the contrary, it just closes them off.
This blog has been on the back burner for a very long time, its way past its due date if you ask me. I have had to overcome a lot of self-inflicted mental battles to get here but here we are! Stumbling on this post a while back also helped a bit. (see picture captioned Social media inspiration)
Our Journey ahead
Although the main aim of these blogs are to save lives and bring hope, I can not be too sure i’ll achieve that off the bat but posting today is definitely a step in the right direction.
My blogs will centre around mental health but more specifically, suicide. Suicide has become the modern day green eyed monster that preys on people both young and old. I for one overcame the snarling teeth of this ferocious monster and i have been purposed to help individuals facing similar attacks through Bible teachings.
We have been mandated by the Lord to overcome and conquer. Jesus himself (our source of life) tells us that here on earth we will have many trials and sorrows, but we should take heart because He has overcome the world (John 16:33 NLT). With that said, its important to know that our identity is in Christ.
Lets change the notion, your feelings are valid but lets redirect them from “Why is this happening to me” but rather to “This is happening for me”.
… till next Tuesday, keep holding on, utter a prayer even though it doesn’t make sense or its the last thing you really want to do; but just do it. God hears you and He cares for you. I’m writing this blog under His instruction for you.
